Steve and Anita Evans of Libertyville, Ill. and Ron and Elaine Dean of Glen Elder, Kan. announce the engagement of their daughter Kristen Lea Dean to Matthew Zander Dieter, son of Carl and Deb Dieter of Martins Ferry.
The bride-elect graduated from Brandeis University with a master's degree in genetic counseling and is currently employed as a genetic counselor with Massachusetts General Hospital.
Her fiance received his doctoral degree in molecular toxicology from the University of Cincinnati and is a clinical toxicologist with Abbott Pharmaceutical Laboratories.
A September wedding is planned in Kansas City.
