Terry and Melva Duvall of Shadyside announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Dawn Duvall to James Brian Kovacs, son of Pat and Betty Ann Kovacs of Flushing.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Shadyside High School and a 2004 graduate of Belmont Technical College with a degree in early childhood development. She is employed as a preschool teacher at Miss Syd's Nursery School.
Her fiance is a 1994 graduate of Union Local High School, received his associates degree in carpentry at Tri Angle Tech and a bachelor's degree in industrial technology with a minor in education at Kent State University. He is employed as an industrial arts teacher at Martins Ferry High School and owner of Kovacs Construction.
An Aug. 2 wedding is being planned.
