Kara Kay Jarrett and William Travis Shaw, together with their parents, announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Christopher and Karen Jarrett of Wheeling. She is a 2001 graduate of John Marshall High School and a 2005 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University. She also attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. She is currently attending Trinity Lutheran seminary in Columbus and is employed as a supply pastor by Trinity Lutheran Church in Bridgeport.
Her fiance is the son of William G. Shaw of Valley Bend, W.Va. and Rella Mills of Mill Creek, W.Va. He is a 1999 graduate of Tygarts Valley High School in Mill Creek, W.Va. and is employed by Tennessee Marine as a tugboat engineer.
An Oct. 11 wedding is planned.
