Donna Ringwald of St. Charles, Mo., and Gary Maher of Belleville, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Ann Maher to Eric Marshall Olexa, son of Paul and Joy Olexa of Union City, Tenn.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Don and Jean Seibel of St. Louis and Guy and Helen Mayer of St. Charles. She is a 1998 graduate of Ritenour High School and a 2002 graduate of Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., with a bachelor of science degree in human performance. In May, she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. She is employed in Memphis as a hygienist.
Her fiance is the grandson of the late Everette Boyd of Water Valley, Ky., and the late Howard and Helen Barber Wells of South Fulton, Tenn., and the late Paul and Josephine Olexa of Neffs, Ohio. He is a 1995 graduate of Union City High School and received a bachelor of science degree in sports medicine, a BSRN in nursing and a master’s of nursing anesthesia from Union University in Jackson, Tenn. He is employed at Jackson General Hospital as a CRNA.
