Mark and Debra Romick of New Matamoras announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Elizabeth Romick to Andrew Jurrus Rosendale, son of Jennifer Rosendale of Columbus and the late Lawrence Rosendale. Lindsey is the granddaughter of Jerrold and Nancy Eddy of Reno, Ohio and Lloyd Romick of New Matamoras and the late Eleanor Romick. Andrew is the grandson of Duane and Laura Jurrus of Fostoria.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of River High School and a 2007 honors graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry at Miami University in Oxford and is studying autoimmune diseases and those affecting premature infants. She plans to pursue a career in research at a children’s hospital.
Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of Grandview High School and a 2007 honors graduate of Marietta College with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in zoology at Miami University and is studying the adaptations of animals to severe environments, with emphasis on mechanisms promoting survival at low temperatures. He plans to pursue a career as a professor of zoology at the collegiate level.
The couple is planning a June 27 wedding at the National Road Church of Christ, Wheeling.
