Carole Crossland of Yorkville announces the engagement of her daughter Alicia Rae Crossland along with her father Raymond Crossland III of Mt. Pleasant, to John William Piekarski, son of Francis and Janice Piekarski of New Martinsville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bertha Crossland and the late Raymond Crossland Jr. of Tiltonsville. Alicia is a 2001 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and employed by Wheeling Park Commission as a reservationist at Oglebay Resort.
Her fiance is the grandson of the late Joseph and Mary Balcerek, Dorothy and James Baridon and Albert Piekarski. He is a 2000 graduate of Magnolia High School, and a 2006 graduate of West Virgnia Northern Community College with associate degrees in computer repair, networking, programming and network security. He is employed at Teletech in Moundsville.
An April 25 wedding is planned in New Martinsville.
