Mr. and Mrs. Robert Griffin of Flushing announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Marie to William Christopher Thamann, son of William and Martha Thamann of Fort Wright, Ky.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Union Local High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in chemical engineering. She is employed at Eastman Chemicals in Kingsport, Tenn., as a manufacturing staff engineer.
Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of Dixie Heights High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is also employed by Eastman Chemicals with the engineering development program.
A March 21 wedding is planned.
