Kristina Bennett and Christopher Skocik, both of Columbia, Md. announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ron and Jan Bennett of Saxonburg, Pa. She is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University. She works as an engineer for NASA in Greenbelt, Md.
Her fiance is the son of Edward and Caroline Skocik of Bridgeport. He graduated in 1992 from St. John Central High School and in 1997 from Ohio State University. He works as a mechanical engineer for QinetiQ North America in Greenbelt.
An Oct. 24 wedding is being planned.
