Amanda Rae Eikenberry and Matthew Paul Sliva, along with their parents, announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Vernon and Michelle Eikenberry of Mt. Pleasant. She graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 2002. In 2006, she graduated cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education. She is employed in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system in Charlotte, N.C.
Her fiance is the son of Roger and Donna Sliva of Adena. He also graduated from Buckeye Local High School in 2002. He then graduated from Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2004, with associate of science degrees in computer network systems and setwork security/computer forensics. He is currently employed with the Family Dollar corporate headquarters in Matthews, N.C.
A wedding is planned for July 25.
