Maureen Rose York and John W. Johnson Jr. of Carnegie, Pa., announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary and Randy York of Dormont, Pa. She is a 2002 graduate of Keystone Oaks High School and a 2007 graduate of Ohio University. She is employed as an inventory planner by Dick’s Sporting Goods in Moon Township.

Her fiance is the son of John W. Johnson and the late Judy Ann Olack Johnson of Bellaire. He is a 2004 graduate of Bellaire High School and a 2009 graduate of Ohio University. He is employed as news editor at The Intelligencer and Wheeling News-Register in Wheeling.

An Oct. 13 wedding in Pittsburgh is planned.
