Kati Nicole Lake and Brian Michael Boyd were engaged on June 29, 2016, in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The couple will be married at the Harold Pratt House in New York, N.Y. on Aug. 12.

The bride, 32, is a vice president at the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, RAINN, and is studying clinical psychology at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She graduated cum laude from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.

She is the daughter of Patricia Lake of St. Clairsville.

The groom, 33, is the general manager at a premier wholesale building materials distributor, Manufacturers Reserve Supply. He graduated cum laude at Furman University, Greenville, S.C. He is the son of Stephen and Barbara Boyd of Morristown, N.J.

The couple resides in the upper west side of Manhattan with their cat, Gatsby. They met in Washington, D.C., through a mutual friend 10 years ago. They have been dating since Fall 2014.
