NUTCRACKER VILLAGE is now open at Steubenville’s historic Fort Steuben, 155 N. Fourth St. The world’s largest collection of life-size nutcrackers is on display in historic downtown Steubenville during the holiday season through Jan. 8.

The exhibit is free and open to the public 24 hours a day. Pets are welcome but must be crowd-friendly and kept on a leash at all times. The outdoor Advent Market will also be open featuring food and craft vendors.

IN CONJUNCTION with Small Business Saturday, Nov. 27, the city of Wheeling is adding a synthetic ice rink to The Plaza on Market, 1053 Market Street, for the day. The public is invited to skate from 3-8 p.m. It is free of charge and ice skates will be available for use.

FLUSHING UNITED Methodist Church, 301 High St., Flushing, will have a Spaghetti Dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. The meal includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread and dessert. Take out only and donations are accepted. Call 740-968-3664 for more information.

MODERN HOME & Hardware is set to host a Christmas Market on Dec. 3-4 at its front parking lot at 104 S. Sycamore St., Woodsfield. Friday’s times are 5-8 p.m. and Saturday’s times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday’s festivities kick off with tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. There will also be Christmas music and Santa on both days. Christmas family photos are available by photographer Erica Griffith, but must be book ahead of time at the store. The market will also feature more than 20 different vendors selling their crafts, baked goods and more.
