Award-winning author to speak at Temple Shalom Monday

WHEELING — International speaker and award-winning New York Times bestselling author Edwin Black will discuss “Israel and International Law: The Historical Underpinnings” at 7 p.m. Monday at Temple Shalom, Wheeling.

With more than 2.2 million books in print, for a half-century Black’s work has focused on human rights, genocide, organized hate and other topics. For his human rights investigations, Black has been interviewed on hundreds of network broadcasts such as Oprah, The Today Show and Wolf Blitzer Reports.

“IBM and the Holocaust,” “Financing the Flames” and “The Farhud” are just three of the many books he has written.

His human rights works have been the subject of numerous documentaries, and his speaking tours include such venues as the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., Harvard University, the United Nations and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Black will take questions from the audience after his 70- to 90-minute lecture.
