Indian Creek High School to present ‘Grease’

WINTERSVILLE — Indian Creek High School will head back in time to the fabulous 1950s with its presentation of the Broadway hit musical, “Grease!”

Performances are set in the school auditorium on April 19-21 and 26-28. Shows on Friday and Saturday will be at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for students and will be sold at the door with only cash and checks being accepted.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the audience can take part in a hand jive dance-off to win a prize.

Join Danny, Sandy, the Pink Ladies and T-Birds as they navigate their way through life at Rydell High School with music, drama and some mayhem. The musical, with lyrics and a book by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, includes memorable tunes such as “Greased Lightnin,” “Summer Nights,” “Beauty School Dropout” and “We Go Together.”

The production is under the direction of theater teacher Robert Zinsmeister and the cast includes Jace Clark as Danny, Lilly McElroy as Sandy, V Diaz as Rizzo, Wyatt Doan as Kenickie, Ava Hooper as Frenchy, Noah Flesher as Doody, Abby Zinsmeister as Marty, Cat Eisnnicher as Sonny, Kylee Haines as Jan, Angelo Delguzzi as Roger, Morgan McCumbers as Patty, Elijah Gilman as Eugene, Gavin Rheinhardt as Vince Fontaine, Barb Turner as Miss Lynch, Shiloah Connell as Johnny Casino/Teen Angel and Emilia Taylor as Cha-Cha with Spencer Richards, Kennedie Wells, Ezra Dennis, Abigail Dennis and Dakota Forster rounding out the ensemble.

The presentation is being staged with permission from Concord Theatricals.
