Great Minds Fellowship supports students looking to make a difference

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont College officials announced that two of their students have been accepted into the Great Minds Fellowship program offered by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
Zoe Showalter and Lilian Worchester are the 2024 Great Minds Fellows from Belmont College.
The Great Minds Fellowship supports students looking to make a difference and contribute to growing Ohio’s behavioral health workforce. The program helps students jump start a successful future in their chosen career path while allowing communities across Ohio to better care for those living with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Showalter, of Barnesville, is a Belmont 2024 graduate. She received an associate degree in mental health, as well as a Certified Chemical Dependency Assistant certificate. Worchester, also from Barnesville, is a second-year student working to complete her associate degree in mental health and her Certified Chemical Dependency Assistant certificate. Her projected graduation date is May 2025.
Great Minds Fellows are eligible for up to $10,000.
Eligible students must be Ohio residents and enrolled in the Mental Health Degree and/or the Certified Chemical Dependency Certificate program.
