Book encourages readers to take religion out of Christianity

STEUBENVILLE — Local author and former Somerton resident Lynne Modranski has a new book on tap.

Modranski has published more than 60 books over the past two decades. And her latest book, “Marks on the Wall,” launched on June 18.

“Even the strongest Christians get tired of the rules and rituals. All those demands make life tedious and tiresome,” Modranski said about her newest release. “I find most Christ followers have a strong desire to keep their lives in line with the Bible, but they’re bogged down by the struggle to be good enough. The more I studied scripture, I began to wonder, ‘What if all those rules and rituals are really meant to be signs of growth — you know, Marks on the Wall.'”
