Concert on the Hill is Aug. 24

MT. PLEASANT — First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant will host its 20th annual “Concert on the Hill” from 4-8 p.m. Aug. 24 on the lawn behind the church, located at 123 Union St.

The concert is a celebration of all types of Christian music. It is completely free of charge — no admission fee, no parking fee, and the snacks and soft drinks are also all free.

This year’s lineup is headlined by Tim Graves and the Farm Hands, a Grammy award winning Bluegrass group from Nashville, Tenn. The Ron Retzer Trio is also on the schedule, along with several area performers — JoAnn Copeland of Jamboree USA, Bishop Michael Tolliver from the New Beginning Church in Bellaire and Steubenville’s own Elisha Fletcher.

There will be some games and activities for children to enjoy.

Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church is one of the oldest churches in the area. It was established in 1798 and is a small “country” church with about 40 people attending Sunday worship.

You can sit under one of the tents or sit out in the open, but bring a lawn chair or a blanket — and some family and friends. For more information, call 740-769-2510 or visitfacebook.com/PresbyterianMtPleasant.
