Courtney Lynn Leach and Christopher Thomas Burgess were united in marriage Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, with the Rev. Donna Kraus officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.
Parents of the bride are Jean Watson of Bridgeport and William Leach of Martins Ferry. Parents of the groom are Judy Burgess of Sistersville and Tom Burgess of Phenix City, Ala.
Bree McCormick served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Amie Cochran, Melissa Cybulski, Eydie Villanueva, Tara Burman, Jamie Hengen, Shannon Huffman, Suzzie King, Jeremiah Welch, Terry Soltesz, Aaron Burgess, Justin Michaels, Michael Duke, Stewart Dixon, Ben Rush, Todd Jaquay, Bailey Fynmore, Makenzie Rubies, Thelonious Welch, and Colton Cybulski.
A reception was held at the McLure House Hotel, Wheeling.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor's degree in biology. She received a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Marietta College in 2007. She is a physician assistant at Doctors Urgent Care in Wheeling.
Her husband is a 1999 graduate of Tyler Consolidated High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College. He is a branch manager of the YMCA in Wheeling and is also employed as farm manager for Fynmore Kennels.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Wheeling.
