Christian Pontia and Matthew Dykstra were married on Sept. 8 at Prairie Fire Lodge in Maple Hill, Kan. with Pastor Andrew McHenry officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ray and Vivian Pontia of Rayland and Mary Jane Frye of Kansas City. The groom is the son of Herm and Terry Dykstra of Keene, Kan. Amanda Pontia was the maid of honor and best men were Judson Lewis, Herm Dykstra and Patrick Dykstra. Other attendants were Amy Leiker and Michelle Wetter. Flower girls were Shelby Eikel and Makayla Wetter, ring bearer was Mason Schell. Ushers were Tim Rush, Ryan Schell, Lee Wetter and Mike Rush.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lawrence Free State High School and a 2005 graduate of Concorde Career College. She is attending Johnson County Community College to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. She is employed by Dr. Michelle Deutch as a certified dental assistant.

He is a 1996 graduate of Mission Valley High School and also attended Fort Hays State University. He is currently employed at Hiperformance as a turbo-charger technician.

After a honeymoon in the mountains of Colorado the couple reside in Topeka, Kan.
