Rachael Nichole Ray and Brian Alan Sterling were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. John Evangelical Church, Wheeling, with the Rev. Ed Thurmond officiating the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Gerald Ray and Darlene Ray of Martins Ferry.
Parents of the groom are Terry and Karen Sterling of Bethlehem.
Sarah Gasmire was matron of honor. Brent Sterling served as best man. Other attendants were Shayla Ludolph, Brooke Mussard, Stephanie Mussard, Jamie Nelson-Sterling, Brittany Sterling, Kailyn Sterling, David Cook, Chad Dibartolomeo, Chad Diehl, Michael Ludolph, Gerald Ray Jr. and Luke Mussard.
A reception was held at the Hellenic Center, Wheeling.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed with Washington County (Ohio) Department of Job and Family Services as an adult protective service worker and child care eligibility specialist.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is employed with Wal-Mart Corp. as an assistant store manager.
The couple will reside in Marietta.
