Valerie Lyn Haught and Christopher Clare Carroll were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 28 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Powhatan Point, with the Rev. Carla Wobschall officiating.
Parents of the bride are Kevin and Vicki Haught of Hannibal. Parents of the groom are Brian and Lucky Carroll of Powhatan Point.
Kim Gorski was maid of honor and Jason Carroll served as best man. Other attendants were: Jessica Duvall, Mandy Aberegg, Ryan Aberegg, Jason Graham, Sean Haught, Myla Smith and Brittanie Carroll.
A reception was held at the United Steelworkers Union Hall in Clarington.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of River High School and a 2007 suma cum laude graduate of Muskingum College with a bachelor of arts degree in middle-childhood education. She is employed as a language arts teacher for Wellston City Schools, Wellston, Ohio.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of River High School, and a 2007 graduate of Muskingum College, with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice. He is employed by Michelina Corporation in Jackson, Ohio.
After a wedding trip to Busche Gardens and Virginia Beach, the couple will reside in Hamden, Ohio.
