Curnes, Frigge

Katie Frigge and Doug Curnes were united in marriage April 19 at 2 p.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Troy, Ohio, with Father Jim Duell officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.

Parents of the bride are Ann and John Frigge of Troy, Ohio. Parents of the groom are Debbie and Paul Curnes, Sr., of Martins Ferry.

Julie Raterman was maid of honor and Lisa Frigge was matron of honor. Paul Curnes, Jr. served as best man. Other attendants were Kristin Bramfeld, Christy Richards, Tiffany Krone, Sharon Curnes, J.J. Frigge, Josh Shutler, Chris Farina, A.J. Monseau and Ryan Courtney. Hallie Frigge was the flower girl and Gavin Curnes the ringbearer.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Troy High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology. She is currently pursuing her master of education degree in middle childhood education from Antioch McGregor University.

Her husband is a 1999 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2004 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and a 2006 graduate of Mercyhurst College with a master of science degree in special education. He is currently employed as a intervention specialist teacher and assistant wrestling coach by Troy City Schools.

The couple will be taking a honeymoon trip to the Riviera Maya in July. They reside in Troy, Ohio.
