Glasser, Horvath

Hillary Noell Horvath and Kurt Joseph Glasser were united in marriage June 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside with Rev. Don Perks officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.

Parents of the bride are Marty and Lori Horvath of Shadyside. Grandmothers of the bride are Lillian McFarland of Shadyside and Nellie Horvath of the Shadyside Care Center. Parents of the groom are Lee Ann Glasser of Shadyside and Mark and Laura Glasser of Shadyside. Grandmother of the groom is Marilyn Callendar also of Shadyside.

Lacie Kernik served as Matron of Honor and Michael Kernik served as Best Man. Other attendants were Megan Long, Alissa Kinney, Nicole Fekete, Danielle Burkhart, Julie Althar, Lindsay Jovicic, Katelyn Falbo, Elizabeth Duncan, Kimberly Duvall, Christine Defete, Amanda Stewart, Keith Glasser, James Amato, Luke Horvath, Sean Grinch, Larry Falbo, Travis Becket, Matthew Beltrondo, Mark Fijalkowski, Steve Kernik, Bobby Samsa, Adam Shaffer, and Donnie VanDyke. Jaycee Gavlik-Glasser served as flower girl, and Logan Gavlik-Glasser was ring bearer.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Shadyside High School, a 2007 graduate of The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with an associate's degree in mortuary science and a 2008 graduate of Point Park University, with a bachelor of science degree in funeral service and minor in psychology. She is employed as an intern at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home.

Her husband is a 2001 graduate of Shadyside High School and a 2005 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor of science degree in nuclear medicine. He is employed as a nuclear medicine technologist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian-Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

The couple will reside in Shadyside after a honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
