Richardson, Bobek
Nicole A. Bobek and Jeffery G. Richardson were united in marriage on June 7 at the First Presbyterian Church in Shadyside, with Rev. Alice Phillips officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.
Parents of the bride are Ronald and Sally Bobek of Shadyside. Parents of the groom are George and Janet Richardson, also of Shadyside.
Nenet Bobek was the maid of honor. Amanda Smathers served as the matron of honor and Dr. Brent Jarrett was the best man. Other attendants were: Heidi Bobek, Judge Julie Selmon, Elaine Ruble, Molly Melching, and Sarah Moes. Megan Jackson, Kayla Jackson and Anna Jackson served as junior bridesmaids. Flower girls were Layla Bobek and Molly Jackson. Nathan Bobek, Dan Selmon, Joe Havasi, Ernie Slucher, and Dr. Matt Saltzman were groomsmen. The ringbearers were Brody Selmon, Jack Selmon and R.J. Ruble.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Shadyside High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in speech and hearing from The Ohio State University in 2000 and a master of arts degree in early childhood education from Ashland University in 2005. She is a first grade teacher at Hilliard Crossing Elementary in Hilliard, Ohio.
The groom is a 1989 graduate of Shadyside High School and received a bachelor of science degree in geology from Denison University in 1993, a master of science degree in geology from The Ohio State University in 1999 and a PhD in micropaleontology from The Ohio State University in 2003. He is an assistant professor of geology at Columbus State Community College.
Following a honeymoon to Scotland and England, the couple will reside in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus.
