Kara Lyn Schunn and Zachary Edmund Shutler were united in marriage on June 14 at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Colerain with Father Dale Tornes and Paster John Oliver of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry officiating. The bride was escorted by her mother and father.
Parents of the bride are Matt and Tisha Schunn of Martins Ferry. Parents of the groom are Ed and Vicki Shutler of Colerain.
April Spence served as maid of honor and Josh Shutler and Ben Shutler served as best men. Other attendants were Bethany Schunn, Brooke Shutler, Shay Shutler, Melissa Cybulski, Tiffany Moscato, Danielle Rinkes, Justin Allar, Matt Schunn, Mike Coss, Eric Slevin and Dave Melfi. Brittany Tirpak and Taylor Tirpak served as program and guest book attendants.
A reception was held at the Artisan Centre in Wheeling.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of St. John Central High School, a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in social work and a 2007 graduate of Ohio University with a master's degree in social work. She is employed by the Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services as a Medicaid case manager.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of St. John Central High School, a 2002 graduate of Mount Union College with a bachelor's degree in integrated social studies and a 2006 graduate of Franciscan University with a master's degree in academic administration. In 2007, he earned Ohio and West Virginia administrative licenses. He is employed by the Ohio County School District as an assistant principal at Triadelphia Middle School.
The couple will be going to St. Petersburg, Fla. for their honeymoon.
