Jessica Renee Figurski and James Thomas Brown were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Adena United Methodist Church with Pastor Larry Helms Sr., uncle of the bride, officiating at the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are John and Cheryl Figurski of Adena. The groom is the son of Brenda Brown of Columbus.
Jennifer Blackwell, was matron of honor and Jeff Russell was best man. Other attendants were Dawn Gill, Jennifer Omaits, Karen Perko, Leann DeLong, Lisa Bryant, Natalie Moore, Nichole Moore, Debbie Glasure, DJ Russell, Brian Brown, Erik Takach, Georgie Hopkins, Cliff Crothers, Chad Figurski, Scott Perko and Ryan Blackwell. Adam Blackwell was ring bearer, Kylie and Klaudia Gill attended the guest book and programs and Michelle Pastor was soloist.
A reception was held at the Hopedale Social Hall.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and a 2005 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor degree in early childhood education. She attended Muskingum College where she earned a degree as an intervention specialist and will return in the fall to work toward her master degree. She is employed by Buckeye Local Schools as a special education teacher.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Buckeye Local High School. He is employed by Wal-Mart Distribution Center and is a member of the Adena Volunteer Fire Department.
The couple will reside in Adena and will honeymoon to Las Vegas in the spring of 2009.
