McDaniel, Baker
Corie Lynn Baker and Anthony Blake McDaniel were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 21, at the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside by the groom’s cousin Pastor Christopher Dove.
The bride is the daughter of Harold R. and Darla J. Baker of Jacobsburg. The groom is the son of Vivian McDaniel of Florida and the grandson of Stanley and Leota McDaniel of Akron.
Emily Eikleberry was maid of honor and Brock Price was the best man. Other attendants were: Angela Tipton, Shelby McDaniel, Megan Frye, Loralee Hillyard, Whitney Laisure, Adam McDaniel, Jared Thompson, Ryan Boughnar, Dusty Miller and Tom Walton. Dillon Chessman was the ring bearer and Lilly and Caitlin Thomas were the flower girls. Kayla Kreuger and Debbie Francis were the guest book attendants.
A reception was held in the Glessner Auditorium at Ogelbay.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Shadyside High School, and a 2006 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, and social work. She is currently working as a medical receptionist for Chiropractor David C. George in Cuyahoga Falls and as a secretary for Akron Children’s Hospital.
Her husband is a 2004 graduate of River High School, and is working on a degree in emergency medical services at Stark State College of Technology. He is currently working as a paramedic for Lifecare Medical Services in Akron.
After their wedding, they spent a week in Jamaica and are residing in Akron.
