Caroline Rose Palmer and Robert Joseph Zitzelsberger were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Dennis Scheulkins officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jack and Rose Palmer of Wheeling. The groom is the son of Rob and Mary Kay Zitzelsberger of Yorkville.
Valerie Palmer was maid of honor. Matthew Caponi and Garret Brain served as best men. Other attendants included: Ashley Kutrovac, Aslynn Reisinger, Kimberly Strauss, Lindsey Rummel, Cathryn Piccirillo, Jack Palmer III, Klete Kutrovac, Brian Valentine and Mark Plumby. Olivia Sokos served as a junior bridesmaid while Alexi Sokos and Sara Palmer were flower girls. Mason Palmer served as ring-bearer.
A reception was held at Wheeling Park’s White Palace.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. She is employed by Ernst & Young LLP in Pittsburgh.
Her husband is a 2002 graduate of The Linsly School and a 2006 cum laude graduate of Washington & Jefferson College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in business and economics. He is currently studying for his master’s degree in higher education leadership studies at West Virginia University. He is employed as an admissions counselor by Bethany College.
After a wedding trip to the Riviera Maya, the couple will reside in Pittsburgh.
