Kayla Marie Johnson and Ryan Paul Mullen were united in marriage April 14 during a private ceremony in St Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island with her parents in attendance.
Parents of the bride are Georgia and John Johnson of Bellaire. Parents of the groom are Debbie and Jan Mullen of Bridgeport.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Bellaire High School. She graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2005 with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and in 2007 with a doctor of physical therapy. She is employed at Sienna Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation as a physical therapist.
Her husband is a 2000 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He graduated from Jefferson Community College 2005 with an associate degree of applied science in radiologic technology. He is employed at Trinity Hospital as an MRI technologist.
The couple celebrated with friends and family during a wedding reception April 25 at the James E. Carnes Center.
