Holly Nicole Gavarkavich and Scott Allan Hammerquist were united in marriage at 2:30 pm Saturday, June 13 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry with Pastor Philip Van Dam officiating the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Janice and Edward Gavarkavich Jr. of Martins Ferry. Parents of the groom are Sherie Hammerquist and the late Matthew Hammerquist of Martins Ferry.
Jill Winland was maid of honor and best man was Jason Cash. Other attendents were Erin Gruber, Michelle Gorby, Gretchen Gavarkavich, Davida Baker, Leah Vargo, Ann Marple, Amy Hammerquist, Danielle Neavin, Katrina Bell, Steve Hammerquist, Eric Hammerquist, Brian Hammerquist, Mike Hammerquist, Keith Hammerquist, Edju Gavarkavich, Dave Williamson, Jay Bennington, and Rob Zink. Hailee Hammerquist was junior bridesmaid and Matther Hammerquist was junior groomsmen. Mia Gavarkavich was flower girl and Ethan Hammerquist was ring bearer.
A recpetion was held at the James E. Carnes in St. Clairsville.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2006 graduate of Muskingum College with a bachelors of arts degree and is employed by Ohio Valley Medical Center as a mental health technican.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Bridgeport High School and is employed by the City of Martins Ferry.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, Fla., the couple will reside in Martins Ferry.
