Karen Elizabeth Kidd and Steven Kristopher Norman were united in marriage April 18 at 2:30 p.m. in Giffin Park Church, St. Clairsville, with Pastor Mark Statler officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.

Parents of the bride are Jake and Judy Kidd of Flushing. Parents of the groom are Steve and Debbie Norman of St. Clairsville.

Ashley Spencer-Hanley was the matron of honor and Erin Cramer served as maid of honor. Dustin Rice served as best man. Other attendants were: Shayla Norman, Maritza Rivera, Tori Jackson, Wesley Stoner, Courtney Cook, Ryan Weyrauch, David Kidd and Rob Kidd. Junior bridesmaid was Cameron Kidd. Flower girl was Sydnie Rice and Talan Rice was the ring bearer. Morganne Warfield attended the guestbook. Readers for the ceremony were Jan Pontia, and Rosemary Crian. Bailey Warfield was the piano player and Erin Huffman the soloist.

A reception was held at Glessner Auditorium Oglebay Resort. The couple was honored to celebrate their wedding day with the groom’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pontia of Yorkville, whom celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Lakeland High School and a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in specialized studies. She is employed by Belmont-Harrison Juvenile District as a detention specialist and by Oglebay Resort as a front desk clerk.

Her husband is a 2000 graduate of St. Clairsville High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor of science degree in computer science. He is employed by Accenture in Pittsburgh as a senior programmer.

The couple spent their honeymoon in the Riviera Maya and now reside in St. Clairsville.
