Stefanie Kay Panas and Philip James Trouten Jr. were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Father Julio Giulietti, S.J. officiating the double ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Michael and Karen Panas of Wheeling. Parents of the groom are Rhonda Temeles of Wheeling and Philip Trouten of Martins Ferry.
Nikki Babik was maid of honor. James Watts and Ron Hill served as best men. Other attendants were April Panas, Jenna Trouten, Natalie Temeles, Ashley Dougherty, Courtney Irwin, Lindsey Crothers, Dana Gump, Steven Panas, Tony Chiazza, Dareick Barr, Zac Bruney, Jeremy Leonard and Donnie Neavin.
A reception was held at the Benedum Room on the campus of Wheeling Jesuit University.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School, a 2005 graduate of Bethany College with a bachelor of arts degree in communication and a 2008 graduate of the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University with a master of science degree in integrated marketing communications. She is employed with the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce as the vice-president of marketing and communications.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Martins Ferry High School and a 2006 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is employed with the J.B. Chambers YMCA as a facility manager.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica the couple will reside in Martins Ferry.
