Sherry Ann Martin and Thomas Joseph Callahan IV were united in marriage at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19, at Lawrencefield Parish Episcopal Church in Wheeling, with the Rev. Cynthia Byers Walter, Rev. Brian Reid of Warren, Pa., and Fr. Michael Steltenkamp of Wheeling Jesuit University, officiating the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Shawn and Lisa Martin of Colerain and Mary Gloor of Wheeling. The groom is the son of Thomas and Marie Callahan of Charlotte, N.C., previously of Philadelphia, Pa.
Erin Long was maid of honor and William Smith and James Wilkinson, served as best men. Other attendants were: Sara Martin, Kathryn Callahan, Justin Barker, Daniel Callahan, Jason Martin, Kevin Martin. Sarah Frohme and Mason Frohme, served as flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.
A reception was held at the Wheeling Artisan Center.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Mt. de Chantal Visitation Academy and a 2006 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University, with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She is employed by the Ruben Companies in Washington, D.C.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, Pa., and a 2006 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University, with a bachelor of arts degree in History. He is employed by the law firm of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher LLP in Washington, D.C.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Washington, D. C.
