TWO VERY well-known insurance families in the Ohio Valley have come together to make one exceptional agency, and their customers will not only find the transition extremely smooth, they will be also be happy to know that they will be getting the same great service from Matthew Thomas of the M.C. Thomas Insurance Agency, Inc. in Bridgeport as they did from the Dan Jones & Son, Agency, Inc., in Martins Ferry.

Thomas has purchased the agency and the consolidation took place to provide Jones with a retirement strategy and allow Thomas to expand his staff for the future.

The two businesses have generational backgrounds having been started by the men’s parents and grandparents.

The combination makes for a seamless transition to clients of the Martins Ferry office since Thomas and Jones represent the same insurance companies. Premiums paid by clients and the companies they are insured with will not be affected by this change.

As a result of this agreement, the offices and records of the Dan Jones Agency were moved to the M.C. Thomas Agency which is located at 892 National Road in Brookside just west of Bridgeport on State Route 40.

The employees of the Jones Agency also relocated to Bridgeport and the Martins Ferry location was then closed.

Customers will find ample and free parking at the Brookside location while the two agencies will become one and operated under the name of M.C. Thomas Insurance Agency, Inc.

Both Jones and Thomas have expressed excitement over this agreement since there will be no disruption to the customers.
