Class Act Hair Design marks 25 years
CADIZ An open house is being held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Class Act Hair Design throughout the first week of March.
In 1984, childhood friends Debbie Lloyd and Theresa Gould opened the shop in Cadiz. Judy Sproul soon joined the two owners and the staff grew to include Rhenae Beaird and Vicki Rogers along with Heather Thomas.
“When we first came to Cadiz, Theresa and I were both just out of school,” Lloyd said.
She said the business was first located in a smaller building just down the street from their current digs at 153 S. Main St. “We have nearly three times the room here,”
The business is a full-service salon and offers a variety of services to women, men and children ranging from cuts, perms, color and highlights. They also offer nail and waxing service and will soon add a seventh member to the team.
“Stephanie Dowdle will be our new manicurist,” Lloyd said. They will also be adding pedicures to their services.
Lloyd said that over the years they have had very loyal customers. “They have become friends to us,” she said. “We have had several generations of families.”
She went on to note that many of their clients come from throughout Harrison County and beyond.
“We have customers from New Athens to Bowerston,” she said. “From Adena to Freeport. We even have customers from the Steubenville area.”
The week-long celebration will include daily winners of $25 gift certificates. Refreshments will also be served.
“We encourage our valued customers to stop in and visit during the celebration,” Lloyd said. “We also welcome those who have never visited our salon to stop by and meet the staff. We thank Harrison County and all the friends we have made over the past years. We are looking forwards to another 25!”
Hours for the business are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments may be made by calling 942-2700.
