Japanese steakhouse coming to mall

ST. CLAIRSVILLE A Japanese Steakhouse is coming to the Ohio Valley Mall.

The restaurant named Osaka plans to welcome its first customers from the St. Clairsville area in November, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

According to information from corporate headquarters of Cafaro Co., owners of the mall, discussions are underway with more fine retailers who have expressed an interest in serving Ohio Valley Mall customers in the near future.

Osaka captures the unique flavor of Japanese hibachi cuisine in a casual ambiance. Diners may choose from the extensive menu or sit at a hibachi table where the chef performs his sizzling culinary magic before their eyes. The restaurant also features outstanding Chinese dishes and a wide variety of sushi.

The owners of Osaka have won rave reviews in their two existing restaurants in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Work is already underway to prepare a 5,500 square foot space for Osaka near the main entrance to the mall. Plans are to have the restaurant open in time for the holiday season.

Osaka is the latest addition to a growing lineup of great offerings at the Ohio Valley Mall. Crafters, artists and home hobbyists recently celebrated the opening of Crafts 2000. A respected name among creative people, Crafts 2000 offers a wide selection of craft, floral, framing, sewing, scrapbooking and artistic supplies.

Earlier this spring, those in need of a little pampering found it with the opening of Escape Spa & Nails.
