ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Snips Hair Design has added a new service. The salon is now able to offer pedicures, courtesy of new employee Ashley Baker.

Baker also does hair styling and facial waxing. A graduate of Jefferson Vocational School’s cosmetology program, she has previously worked at Walmart’s Smart Styles salon, Volare’ Salon and Spa of St. Clairsville, and Salon Envy of Yorkville.

Snips Hair Design, located at 46450 National Road West, is owned and operated by veteran stylist Gina Ponzani. She took over last year after the previous owner, barber Luke Elerick, was killed in an accident. The business has been in operation since 1983.

Snips carries its own line of hair products, in addition to Scruples and Retro products. Ponzani pointed out one notable product called Style Edit, which can be used to cover up gray roots for one day. Snips now employs six stylists, and offers a variety of hair design services including cuts, colors, perms, and more. Call (740) 695-4292 to make an appointment or learn more.
