Yorkville Bakery has new owners
Yorkville Bakery has been a staple of the community for decades. Patrons have mentioned visiting the bakery with their parents, who in turn, had visited the bakery with their parents. Best known for their Italian bread, Yorkville Bakery offers a variety of pastries, desserts, and even pizza and strombolis at great prices.
Recently under new management, Yorkville Bakery is now run by Leigh Ann Cionni and her parents, Rocco and Priscilla Cionni of Rayland. The Cionni family has been supporters of the community and local businesses since they originally moved to the area in the 1970s.
The new owners have kept the same great recipes that customers have grown to love and are constantly adding new treats like carrot cake muffins, white chocolate and raspberry cupcakes, lemon bars, and feature a special cupcake of the month.
“It’s an amazing opportunity, and I have the chance to do something that I love baking,” said Cionni. “I’m looking forward to the hard work and getting to know all the customers that have been loyal to the bakery for years. I wouldn’t have this chance if it weren’t for the people at The Citizens Bank who helped my parents and me through this entire process.”
“Thanks to the help of the Ohio Development Servicing Agency, we are able to help small businesses, like Yorkville Bakery, get started,” added Michael Goclan, vice president of commercial lending and business development at The Citizens Bank.
Yorkville Bakery is located at 618 Public Road in Yorkville and open Wednesday thru Saturday from 5 am to 2 pm. Beginning May 17, it will also be open Sunday from 7 am to 2 pm.
