MORRISTOWN — The Pike 40, a new family-owned restaurant, has opened its doors in a freshly renovated space, just outside of

Morristown.

Located on U.S. 40, in the location that formerly housed Food by Jane, the new establishment features a comfort-style menu that aims to serve classic Ohio Valley dishes.

“We wanted to create a restaurant with a menu and interior that reflects the Ohio Valley,” said owner Rita Dutton. “We truly hope it becomes a local spot where people love to spend time and can pop in to hang out with friends and neighbors.”

The newly designed interior features a more defined bar space, with a distinct transition into the dining area.

The decor is classic Americana and features imagery and artifacts paying homage to the industry and communities that share the U.S. 40 corridor. Upgrades to the sound system, lighting fixtures and two 50-inch TVs have also been added.

The menu has been updated with comfort-style food entrees such as chicken pot pie, beef and noodles, gourmet macaroni and cheese, and classic meatloaf.

They have also re-vamped the sandwich section to include a BLT chicken avocado, an incredible reuben on marbled rye, several burger options, and pulled pork, all on homemade rolls.

A Sunday brunch buffet offers additional comfort food selections along with homemade cinnamon rolls and cook-to-order eggs.

Lunch specials and dinner features are planned throughout the week as well, including a prime rib night on the weekend.

In addition, the restaurant offers a full service bar featuring newly-installed draft beer system with both domestic and popular craft beer, and cocktails such as Moscow Mules, Margaritas and a Pike Punch.

Pike 40 Restaurant and Bar is located at 41010 National Road in Belmont. The phone number is 740-782-0001.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday; 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays; 4 p.m. to midnight Saturdays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays; and closed on Mondays.
