FOLLANSBEE — Wheeling-Nisshin is pleased to announce that Jay McLaughlin has been appointed vice president of accounting and finance.

McLaughlin came to Wheeling-Nisshin from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in February 1996 as a manager. He was soon promoted to general manager of accounting and finance.

McLaughlin started his career in public accounting, where he earned his certified public accountant (CPA) designation.

After joining Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, he progressed through various management positions in Internal Audit, Information Services, Business Improvement, and Accounting Departments.

He is a native of Wellsburg, where he attended Brooke High School. Immediately following graduation he enrolled at West Virginia University, where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree. He makes his home in Wheeling with his wife, Carol, and two children, Kayla and John.
