ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Those Christmas shopping for the sports enthusiast in their life may find all they need and more at Dunham’s Sports.

Dunham’s has been serving local residents since its opening at the Ohio Valley Mall in November last year. The store moved into a portion of the former Kmart, which closed in early 2017.

Dunham’s has a wide selection of goods and apparel perfect for the sporting goods enthusiasts of the valley.

Joe Bell, spokesman for the Ohio Valley Mall’s parent Cafaro Co., said the sporting goods store has been an excellent fit for the valley and a great addition for the mall, providing many residents with the items they want and need.

“It’s been very popular, people think of it as one of their local sporting goods stores, and we think that is appropriate,” he said.

Bell said the store has an array of products for people that enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.

“They have a really nice selection. They have everything from your typical weekend warriors who enjoy basketball, football or golf. And they do a great job with outdoors, hunting and shooting sports, and fishing and camping gear,” he said.

The nearly 50,000-square-foot store offers footwear, apparel, hunting and fishing gear, firearms, electronics and more, all at a variety of price points, Bell said.

“The good thing about a store that large is that there are a variety of price points. You can find a great gift that’s under $10, and if you want something more extravagant, you can go up into the thousands of dollars price range,” he said.

In addition to many items being on sale for the holidays, the store is also offering 15 percent off the regular price of one item through Dec. 24. The coupon is available online at circulars.dunhamssports.com.

There are also plenty of holiday deals going on at the mall right now, Bell said. Any shopper who purchases $250 worth of mall merchandise, at any combination of stores, will receive a free gift until Dec. 20. Customers can take their receipts to the customer service office at the mall to receive their gift.

Dunham’s holiday hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at its mall location in St. Clairsville.
