BRIDGEPORT — Bridgeport High School held its annual Academic Awards Banquet on May 7 in the high school cafetorium. Those in attendance included members of the Bridgeport community, Bridgeport Board of Education, Alumni, Bridgeport High School staff, scholarship recipients and their families.

This year 15 seniors were honored with scholarships from alumni and the community of Bridgeport and were given over $30,000 in local awards The seniors present at the banquet were also named recipients of several outside scholarships including exceptional financial aid packages from their selected colleges.

The seniors receiving awards at the banquet included Samantha Ivan, Misha Berry, Sydney Kloss, Jasmine Rodgers, Tierra White, David Wiselka, Eli Williams, Treavon Clark, Guy Pagano, Josie Bugaj, Caleb Nelson, Jace Johnston, Ricky Dunlap, Dylan Nowakowski and Matt Herink.

Organizers of the event said the staff, administration and students are appreciative of the continued support given to them by the alumni, businesses and community of the Bridgeport Exempted Village School District.
