BELLAIRE — Auto Choice, one of the fastest growing General Motors-franchised dealerships in the Ohio Valley, is celebrating 20 years in business.

Since 1997, Auto Choice has been serving the people of the Ohio Valley, owned and operated by the Hunnell family of Moundsville, as with a team of dedicated, loyal local employees.

Auto Choice opened its Moundsville location in 1997 as a used car dealership specializing in quality, late model pre-owned vehicles and in 2001 purchased the Buick dealership from Gillingham Buick and moved the new franchise to its 1201 Lafayette Ave., Moundsville location and underwent a major expansion project.

“Auto Choice more than doubled the size of its sales facility and built a new service department at its existing location that made the dealership more accessible and visible from the highway. The new lot and service facility enabled us to expand our selection of cars, trucks, vans and sport-utility vehicles and new Buicks and allowed us to better serve our customers,” Bill Hunnell, operations manager, said. “The service facility featured factory-trained technicians servicing air conditioning , tune-ups, brakes, shocks, alignments and tires — all at deep discount competitive prices. We were achieving record sales and surpassing General Motors’ goals by more than 200 percent, so the expansion project took Auto Choice to a new level of success.”

Auto Choice opened its second location in Bellaire in 2005. It purchased the previous Chevrolet and Buick dealership from Cervelli Motors and opened under the new ownership as Auto Choice Chevrolet Buick.

“The new dealership went under a major expansion project and increased inventory and continued with their same philosophies of running the business with no gimmick sales events with no high-pressure salespersons and offering quality vehicles at our lowest guaranteed price every time to everyone and committing or selves to customer satisfaction every time and its another success story,” Bob Hunnell said.

Auto Choice has won numerous Mark of Excellence Select Dealer Awards from General Motors for exceeding corporate sales objectives, maintaining superior customer satisfaction index scores and meeting or exceeding retail sales index scores.
