Cheryl Lyn Speidel, age 71, of Groveport, Ohio, passed away June 23, 2017.

She was born May 16, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Willard and Lois Workman.

Cheryl was a graduate of Bellaire High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University and her Master’s in Education from the University of Dayton.

She worked at St. Clairsville Elementary School as a first grade teacher for 25 years. Cheryl was a vivid collector of antique school memorabilia. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ronald W. Speidel; son, Jamison (Dawn) Speidel; and two grandchildren, Joey and Sarah Speidel. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 26 at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road, N. Pickerington, OH 43147. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at the funeral home. Interment at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
