Softite Community Federal Credit Union celebrates people-first banking

MARTINS FERRY — Softite Community Federal Credit Union on Thursday, along with more than 56,000 credit unions around the world, celebrated International Credit Union Day and the philosophy and achievements of the credit union movement.

Softite Community Federal Credit Union celebrated with a cake in each office — Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville and Mingo Junction. The Martins Ferry office also had a live radio remote along with a light lunch.

The Martins Ferry location is celebrating the remodeling of that location.

“We want all of members to see what a gem we have turned out flagship office into,” said Pam Fankhouser, CEO of Softite Community Federal Credit Union.

Softite Community Federal Credit Union celebrates ICU Day because it believes the not-for-profit structure and people-first principles of credit unions make them the ideal financial partners for all people. This year’s ICU Day theme was “Dreams Thrive Here,” a celebration of how credit unions help people achieve their biggest goals in life.
