Five senior members of the Buckeye Local High School Marching Band attend the 39th WVU Invitational High School Honor Bands on Feb. 8-10. BLHS Band Director Bill Stephens said more than 450 students from 90 schools in seven different states took part after being nominated by their respective band directors and submitting video auditions. The young musicians were placed into three clinic bands and rehearsed with guest conductors before performing and had an opportunity to participate in masterclasses offered by the School of Music’s faculty. Buckeye Local has had students consistently attend for the past nine years and the most recent group included, pictured front from left, Annie Dill and Kylie Beck.
