Cleveland man jailed on drug charges in Belmont County
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — A Cleveland man is facing drug charges following a late-night search on Monday.
According to information provided by Belmont County sheriff’s Chief Deputy James Zusack, a search warrant was served at a local motel. The search concluded a “lengthy investigation” by the Belmont County Criminal Interdiction Unit.
As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old Dominic Hoyt Cunningham Jr. of Cleveland was arrested on two felony counts of trafficking in drugs and one felony count of tampering with evidence. Deputies seized about 21 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl in the motel room associated with Cunningham.
Cunningham was lodged at the Belmont County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bond. At the time of his arrest, he had been free after posting $25,000 bond on unrelated charges in Belmont County.
