Ohio River Valley Elks No. 231 presents $2,500 in Gratitude Grants to seven local nonprofit organizations. Recipients were hosted at the annual Veterans Turkey Dinner on Nov. 9 at the lodge on North Fourth Street in Martins Ferry. The Gratitude Grant were made possible by the Elks National Foundation and are available to lodges that have raised a designated donation amount the previous lodge year. In the 2019-20 lodge year, Ohio River Valley No. 231 has applied for and received $11,500 in grants that are being used locally to aid youth, veterans and those in need.
