“Stop the Bleed”

Wheeling Hospital recently purchased two “Stop the Bleed” kits for the Belmont-Harrison Vocational School District. One will be placed at the St. Clairsville campus and the other at the Cadiz campus. The two schools have about 400 students. The staff at both schools were taught “Stop the Bleed” last year by Wheeling Hospital personnel. In the next month the hospital will return to both campuses to teach all the students “Stop the Bleed.” The kits cost a total of $1,200 and contain tourniquets, scissors, combat dressings, gloves and large wound dressings.
