OUE College Credit Plus Information Night eyed

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Students currently in sixth through 11th grades and their parents are invited to attend College Credit Plus Information Night at Ohio University Eastern Campus at 6 p.m. March 3 in Room 219 of Shannon Hall.

College Credit Plus is an opportunity for qualified students to earn college credits prior to their graduation from high school. All tuition and textbook costs are free. In addition, the college credits earned also count toward high school graduation requirements and are designed to transfer to most public universities in Ohio.

“College Credit Plus Information Night is a great opportunity for prospective students and their parents to learn more about the program, the application process, and expectations of the program,” said Jay Morris, coordinator of College Credit Plus at Ohio University Eastern. “The sessions will include a question and answer session with OUE faculty, administrators and current students in the program, who will share their experiences.”

According to Morris, the program benefits many local students each year. One recent success story is Thad Indermuhle of River High School.

“College Credit Plus has allowed me to complete two full years of college by my high school graduation,” he said. “More than this though, the environment at Ohio University Eastern has provided a place for education, discussion, and growth. I have gained so much, both personally and in pursuit of my career.”

Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP calling 740-699-2536 or register online at ohio.edu/eastern and click on the “Schedule a Visit” button. Then click “Register for a campus visit or event” link and click on “CC Info Night” link to register.
